Dimitrios Sourailidis
Senior software engineer building enterprise systems that take the manual work out of engineering.
I build reliable software across the stack, from .NET and Java services to AI assistants grounded in real documentation, for teams that cannot afford to get it wrong.
- Currently building engineering tooling for Mercedes-Benz, via Akkodis
- Based in Stuttgart, Germany
- Open to interesting opportunities

01Introduction
Software that has to be right.

I'm a senior software engineer with 6+ years of experience building enterprise software and distributed systems using C#/.NET and Java. I've designed scalable applications, CI/CD automation, cloud deployments, and AI-powered systems using LLMs and RAG architectures.
I've delivered solutions for large enterprise clients including Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and Greek government agencies, with a focus on technical ownership, automation, and high-impact software delivery.
- Own it end to end
- Automate the boring
- Audit the important
- Measure, then argue
02How I think
How I approach engineering.
Not a list of adjectives. A loop I actually run, on every project, in this order.
03Experience
Where the work happened.
Every role, every result, exactly as on the résumé.

Senior Software Engineer
Akkodis Germany · Client: Mercedes-Benz
- Designed and shipped a centralized floating-license management system now used by 100+ engineers across 4 teams, replacing manual administration with auditable license utilization, access control and compliance.
- Built a Jenkins and PowerShell pipeline that runs automated hardware testing across 10 test benches, taking manual execution out of test cycles that run four hours or longer.
- Shipped an LLM tool that reads 10-page automated test reports and pinpoints anomalous values and failures in seconds, replacing a field-by-field manual check. It processes after-hours runs unattended, so engineers arrive to a verdict instead of a backlog.
- Delivered a RAG-based support assistant integrated with OTRS, retrieving from internal documentation and source code through a vector database. Ticket throughput rose from 2–3 per agent per day to roughly 10.
- Own features end to end with client stakeholders and engineering teams, from requirements through delivery.

Akkodis Germany · Client: BMW Group
- Led the development of three critical enterprise applications for the BMW vendor user-access portal, with more than 400,000 business users and a strong focus on high availability.
- Automated the regression suite, removing manual regression passes before each release and raising release confidence.
- Led the handover of 3 applications to new service providers, coordinating client, operations and vendor teams through the transition.
- Investigated production issues with client and operations teams, traced root causes and shipped fixes under fixed release deadlines.

- Maintained and enhanced a water-utility billing system used by Greek government agencies to issue and manage bills for approximately 700,000 households.
- Designed and developed a cross-platform mobile application from scratch, extending the platform with a digital self-service channel for customers to pay and monitor their bills.
- Introduced CI/CD, SonarQube static analysis, and Test-Driven Development to a five-person Agile team, reducing release cycles by 40%, cutting defect rates by 30%, and increasing test coverage from 55% to 85%.
- Gathered requirements directly from local government stakeholders and carried features from planning through implementation and release.

Updated
- Building
AI tooling for engineering teams
LLM-based test-report analysis and a retrieval assistant over internal documentation and code, in production at Mercedes-Benz.
- Learning
Agents, MCP and German
Standardising how agents reach internal systems through the Model Context Protocol. Also pushing my German past A2.
- Reading
Distributed systems and retrieval quality
How to evaluate retrieval before it reaches a model, and what consistency really costs in the systems I run.
- Thinking about
Ownership when half the diff is machine-written
What review, testing and accountability look like as AI writes more of the code in enterprise teams.
06Evidence
Proof, not promises.
Good engineering should leave a trail: systems in production, a peer-reviewed paper, and public code.
